At Orange County Innovation High School, we seek to provide students with instruction and real-world, technical job training skills to ready them for college or the workforce. Through our exclusive partnerships with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and other providers pursuant to Education Code section 47605.1(g), we offer students a year-round program emphasizing attainment of basic job skill competencies, enhancing opportunities for academic and occupational training, and providing exposure to the job market and employment. Activities include instruction leading to completion of secondary school, tutoring, internships, job shadowing, work experience, leadership development, adult mentoring and comprehensive guidance and counseling.
Our goal is to reach as many students as possible and help them work toward their goal of graduating high school. But it doesn’t end there. Many students are college bound. We will help them get there. Many students want to enter the workforce as soon as possible. By offering a year-round program emphasizing attainment of basic skill competencies, enhancing opportunities for academic and occupational training, and providing exposure to the job market and employment, we give students a jump-start on a promising future straight out of high school with the mastery of real-world, technical skills. Our exclusive partnerships and workforce readiness programs are the keys to success offering comprehensive and integrated models that combine education, occupational skills, and support services.
With thousands of success stories already and many more to come, our programs and partnerships are on the cutting edge of education reform. Today’s students are tomorrow’s productive citizens.
